Great time of year to be an Elk. In with the new…out with the old. Fresh ideas, planned resolutions, programs and committee chairpersons, unbridled enthusiasm, everyone working to make this year better than the one before. Everything is in place, now, if it only works. WOW!

It’s also a great time of year for your Arizona Elks Major Projects, Inc. The volunteers will be heading back up the Arizona Elks Youth Camp in March and April to put the finishing touches on the projects that could not be finished before closing down for the winter. The date has been set, the work will be completed and the Arizona Elks Youth Camp will be dedicated on May 15, 2005 at the campsite. We hope to have Grand Exalted Ruler James McQuillen on hand as well as State Sponsor PGER Ken Moore, our incoming and outgoing State Presidents, Jerry Grimes and Pete Gillespie, and all those who worked so hard to turn this dream into a reality. There are an awful lot of people, both Elks and Non-Elks, who put their time and effort into turning run down property into a bona fide youth camp, along with those who for one reason or another could not make it to the camp but supported us with cash and materials. Thanks to one and all for the effort and the thanks begins with the driving force behind it all, PSP Jack Warter of Pinal Mountain Lodge #2809. Please mark that date down on your calendar and make every effort to attend.

The University of Arizona’s Medical Center’s Children’s Research Center will be opening an extension in Phoenix. Further information will be published as it becomes available.
